A second press invitation to cover Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year honoring Rose Byrne, building on my first event.

After photographing Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Man of the Year, I was invited back to cover the Woman of the Year honoring Rose Byrne.

Being asked to return was so exciting. The first event felt like a breakthrough. The second felt like validation. Walking into the space again, I understood the pacing, the structure of the ceremony, and how the press access operated. That familiarity allowed me to focus less on logistics and more on refining my work.

Rose Byrne brought humor and ease to the event, which translated into strong, expressive imagery. Events like this move quickly, so it becomes about timing, positioning, and staying aware of what’s unfolding beyond the main stage. My goal was to document not just the honoree, but the energy in the room.

Being invited back reinforced that my work met the standard the first time. That trust matters. It signals growth and consistency, which are just as important as getting the initial opportunity.

Photographing both celebrations back-to-back has been a meaningful step in my development within press and live event coverage. It challenged me, strengthened my instincts, and confirmed that this is a space I want to continue building in.

Coverage of Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Man of the Year celebration honoring Michael Keaton, captured as my first official press event.

This weekend, I was invited to Harvard's Hasty Pudding Man of the Year event as a member of the press. This is a huge milestone for me.

This was the first time I’ve been officially invited to cover an event like this, and walking in with that title attached to my name felt so crazy. It wasn’t just anxious about being there, I was being trusted to document a moment that carries history, tradition, and real cultural weight.

The night reminded me how powerful live events are when you’re capturing them in real time. Being there as press meant paying attention differently. Watching expressions, anticipating moments. Looking for the images that tell the story beyond the obvious.

What stood out most was the shift in how I experienced the event. I wasn’t attending, I was working. Every decision; where to stand, when to shoot, what moments to prioritize, was purposeful. It was exciting and grounding all at once.

This opportunity meant a lot because it felt like a step forward. A confirmation that the work I’ve been putting in is leading somewhere. Being invited into a space like this made everything feel more real. I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to cover something with this level of visibility, and even more excited about what it opens the door to next.

A look at social media stories designed and published for hotel restaurant outlets, focused on clarity, tone, and visual storytelling.

Lately, I’ve been creating social media stories for the hotel’s restaurant outlets, and the exciting part is that they actually go live.

What started as practice for the marketing team quickly turned into real, published stories promoting events, dinners, gift cards, and seasonal updates shared directly to the restaurants’ social channels. Seeing something I designed show up on my feed has been so motivating.

What I’ve loved most is watching how small design choices change the entire tone. A different font can make something feel playful or polished. A slight shift in spacing can suddenly make everything feel more intentional. I’ve spent 20 minutes moving one word back and forth to make sure it looks right.

Because these stories are for real restaurant outlets, I’ve been thinking carefully about voice and brand. Each space has its own personality, but everything still needs to feel cohesive under one hotel. Designing within those guidelines and seeing the content actually used has been one of the most valuable parts of this process.

This work has helped me build confidence, sharpen my eye, and better understand how people interact with content in real time. I am so incredibly excited to keep learning.

A festive winter evening at The Charles Hotel, photographed with a focus on details and the moments in between.

This Christmas tree lighting felt different from any shoot I’ve done before. Not because it was bigger or louder, but because it was familiar. I know the doors, the walkways, the moments before guests arrive. Being able to step into that environment with my camera instead of a headset felt both grounding and exciting.

I focused a lot on the quieter moments of the event. The way the lights reflected off the windows as the sky faded. The contrast between the deep reds of the holiday décor and the soft greens of the surrounding trees. A glass of wine by the fire, with the hotel sign just out of focus behind it. These are the images that feel the most honest to me, the ones that capture how the night felt, not just what it looked like.

This shoot also meant a lot on a personal level. Getting to photograph an event for the hotel I work at, a place that’s supported my growth and trusted me creatively, felt like a huge step. It was one of those moments where everything clicked: hospitality, storytelling, and photography all overlapping in a way that felt natural and earned.

This won’t be my last time photographing here, and I’m really grateful for that. But this first big shoot will always stand out. It reminded me why I started doing this in the first place; to capture moments that feel lived-in, warm, and real.

Last fall, I threw a baby shower for first time parents, the Olsen's. I took on the challenge of decorating, photographing, and coordinating with various vendors to create a seamless experience for everyone involved. We were fortunate to secure a beautiful location at a golf course outside of Boston, and the day was clear with and sunny. This event marked the largest freelance project I have undertaken independently, and I cannot express how proud I am of the final outcome.

Over the past few months, I have had the incredible opportunity to photograph Roy, who is a talented Berklee percussion alum and is about to start his journey as a graduate student. Back in June, I took his graduation photos on a beautiful sunny day, capturing the joy and excitement he felt as he prepared to take the next step in his musical career. For the next set of photos, which are crucial for his graduate school portfolio and beyond, we shot on a rainy day at his drum warehouse. This allowed me to capture him surrounded by his passion, showcasing the dedication and artistry he brings to his craft.

I had the incredible opportunity to meticulously plan and photograph my best friend's baby shower, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved. We put together a charming woodland themed party filled with warmth and joy, surrounded by friends and family. The celebration featured personalized graphics, a stunning charcuterie board, and thoughtfully crafted handmade games that brought everyone together.

I also had the incredible opportunity to take her maternity photos, which has truly become one of the highlights of my photography career. Witnessing her joy and excitement while capturing these beautiful moments was absolutely heartwarming. Knowing that she now has these special pictures to cherish forever fills me with true happiness and pride in my work as a photographer.
