Hi! I’m Caitlin— a Boston-based creative with roots in Maine. I’ve always loved bringing ideas to life, whether that’s coordinating events, capturing moments behind a camera, or finding the perfect way to tell a story through design. After graduating from Emmanuel College with a degree in Marketing, I began working in Cambridge, where I do hotel work by day and collaborate with the marketing team on photography by… also day (and sometimes evening). When I’m not editing photos or organizing a shoot, you can usually find me thrifting for vintage pieces, exploring new coffee spots, or spending time with my roommate. I started CM Studio as a space to blend my love for photography, event coordination, and creative storytelling, and to connect with people who appreciate thoughtful, personality-filled projects as much as I do.
Photography has been my longest creative love. I’ve been captivated by the way a single shot can tell a story, capture an emotion, or preserve a fleeting moment since I can remember. Over the years, I’ve taken numerous photography classes, refining my technical skills in lighting, composition, and editing, while also developing my own artistic style. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of shoots—from portrait sessions to event photography—each one reinforcing my passion for the craft. For me, it’s a way of seeing the world, appreciating details, and preserving stories worth remembering.
There’s something deeply fulfilling about curating an experience from start to finish—selecting the right details, making sure everything runs smoothly, and watching people enjoy a moment you helped create. I’ve felt that excitement every time I’ve planned a get-together, whether small or large, but one of my proudest moments was organizing my best friend’s baby shower. It was an honor to create a special day for her, and the joy on her face made all the planning, coordination, and decorating completely worth it. I love the challenge of taking an idea and turning it into an experience, and I hope to continue growing in this space.
Graphic design is my newest creative outlet, and while I’m still learning, I’ve found it to be an exciting and rewarding skill to develop. I love experimenting with colors, layouts, and typography to create visually compelling designs, and I enjoy how even small details can make a big impact. Right now, I’m exploring different tools and techniques, using what I’ve learned to create marketing materials, social media graphics, and personal projects. While I may be a beginner, I approach each design with curiosity and a willingness to improve. It’s a fun, creative challenge, and I’m excited to keep growing in this area!
